Diving supervision when immersing tunnel elements

OTN’s experienced divers do all the important diving work when tunnel elements are being immersed. The work includes surveying the tunnel elements, dismantling auxiliary equipment and conducting important inspections during the immersion process – activities that are indispensable to the success of the project.

This is because the divers act as the eyes of the immersion commander. The immersion commander uses a video link to closely monitor the underwater process and issue the correct commands so that the tunnel elements can be immersed successfully. After the tunnel has been immersed, the divers dismantle the auxiliary equipment and conduct detailed inspections in the vicinity of the tunnel elements.

Our experienced divers are therefore an indispensable part of the special immersion process. OTN has the knowledge and ambition in-house to be able to successfully perform these activities nationally and internationally.
